Fishing

Lake Oahe:

The largest of the Missouri River reservoirs, Lake Oahe stretches 231 miles from Pierre, SD, to Bismarck, ND, and reaches a maximum depth of 205' near the Pierre Dam. Known primarily for its world-class walleye fishing, Oahe also boasts trophy pike fishing (particularly in spring), smallmouth bass, and salmon.

The Birdhouse is a 30 minute drive to the nearest boat ramp on Oahe. While not directly on the water, this allows anglers the flexibility to choose their location based on where the fish are biting and the current weather conditions.
